Must-Haves Fall Hair Accessories

1. Felt Hat

Velvet hats are a must during this season, it can easily elevate your fall outfit and transform it completely.

Many of them are on the pricey side, but you can definitely find other options that are more affordable.

Below you can find different options with different prices and qualities. It’s always good to find a balance between those characteristics, especially when it’s an accessory that you won’t use much.

If this is something that you will use in the regular, then it’s always recommended to invest in a hat with a better quality.

2. Statement Headbands

Headbands are one of my favorite hair accessories not matter the season. I have many in different colors and fabrics.

You can find some that are more casual, and others that will make your outfit look a little more put together. Especially when they have extra details, like pearls or crystal gems.

When searching for statement headbands for fall, I always look for specific fabrics and colors. For example, velvet or leather.

I also look what I have in my closet, since I try to find the perfect complement for certain outfits.

Below I’ll be sharing some of my favorite headbands for fall.

PS: Anthropology is one of favorite places to find cute statement headbands.

3. Oversized Scrunchies

Regular scrunchies are cute, but have you tried oversized scrunchies? They look super cute and they can definitely elevate your hairstyle.

A simple low ponytail looks so cute with this XL scrunchies!

If oversized scrunchies are not your thing, you can also opt-in for scrunchies with different fabrics, like this sherpa scrunchie (here’s another option).

You can definitely play around with different fabrics to find your perfect fall hair accessory.

You can even create them yourself if you love DIY projects. Here’s a tutorial in case you want to try and make your own.

My mom makes them for me and it’s also a great way to repurpose clothes that you don’t wear anymore.

4. Hair Clips

From barrettes to claw clips, these hair accessories are great to make our hair look cute no matter the length of it, and it definitely helps to elevate your fall outfit. Even if it’s a simple clip.

The magic of them is that you can play around with them and add as many as you want.

Below I’ll share some of the cutest clips you can add to your cart.

5. Bows

Some people might think that bows are only for little girls, but honestly they look great even if you are in your 20s or older.

I’m a huge fan of them and I love adding bows to my ponytails.

You can go to Walmart and get ribbons to create your own (I have done this). The benefit of this, is that you can get one in the color or fabric that you want.

If DIY is not your thing, you can get bows with a built in clip or hair tie.

6. Hair Scarf or Bandanas

Since I’m little, I have enjoyed creating different hairstyle with different hair accessories, and bandanas are not the exception.

You can get scarves that are specifically made for your head (which usually have different dimensions), or you can get square scarfs or bandanas that you can use for your hair, neck or even as a top!

I have both option, a couple that are specifically for hair, and the ones that are more versatile. Having a versatile piece is always good.

The only bad thing about using those bigger bandanas for your hair, is that it can look a little chunky and can feel heavy (and we know how painful that can be if you plan to wear it for long hours).

The best thing you can do is to try different options and go with the one that works the best for you and your needs.
