Fall Reading List: Romance Books Edition
1. Until November (Until #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds
The Until series has been one of my favorites since the first book come out in 2015. I love the story so much, that I’m currently reading the spin-off series that features the kids of the original characters.
The main reason why this book is in this list, is because of the name of the main character, November; and because this books actually starts during Autumn.
PS: this book is current free on Amazon, so run and get your copy! Find the link below.

November is looking forward to getting to know her father and the safety of a small town.
After leaving the big apple and her bad memories for Tennessee, November starts working for her dad at his strip club doing the books.
The one time she’s allowed there during club hours she runs into Asher Mayson. He’s perfect until he opens his mouth and makes assumptions.
November wants nothing to do with Asher but too bad for November fate has other plans. Asher Mayson has never had a problem getting a woman that is until November.
Now all he can think about is making November his and keeping her safe.

3. Awaken the Highland Warrior (Connor Clan Highland Warrior #1) by Anita Clenney
Last time I read this book was in 2011, but after reading the preview, I realized that I needed to re-read this book.
Immediately after reading the first pages, it gave me Halloween and fall vibes. So it’s definitely a great romance book for a cozy fall day.
So if you are into highland warriors, this is your book.
I literally just imagined myself, snuggled with my blanket and a cup of tea.
In all honesty, I really don’t remember much of this book, but 2011 Melissa rate this book with five stars, and I 100% trust her.
Now, we know time changes and it has been more than 10 years since this book was published; but usually, when I re-read book that I previously rated well, I end up falling in love with it again.

He’s had centuries to dream of her…
Mis-adventurous historian Bree Kirkland discovers a one hundred fifty year old warrior buried in a crypt behind her house. But Faelan, the warrior, isn’t dead.
When this chauvinistic Scottish Warrior awakes, he has no choice but accept the help of this modern-day woman who’s rescued him, but she’s more fearsome than the demon trying to kill him.
If he’s not careful, she’ll uncover every secret his clan has bled and died to protect.
Available in Kindle Unlimited and Audiobook.

4. Providence (Providence #1) by Jamie McGuire
When I first started this series, I wasn’t sure what the book was about which gave me that mystery feeling that I think it’s great for a lazy and cozy day at home. I mean, just look at the cover and the fog!
I don’t want to give much details about this book, but if you like paranormal college romance, then I’m sure you will enjoy this one.

Struggling with her father’s death, Nina meets Jared Ryel, presumably by chance. However it soon becomes clear that he knows more about her than even close friends.
When her father’s former associates begin following her in the dark, Nina learns that her father was not the man she thought he was, but a thief who stole from demons.
In searching for the truth behind her father’s death, she stumbles upon something she never expected, and something Hell wants, that only she holds the key for.
Jared risks everything to keep the women he was born to save, by sharing the secret he was sworn to protect.

5. Forgotten Sins (Sin Brothers #1) by Rebecca Zanetti
Another book that I’m re-reading this fall.
This is one of those books that I forgot about, but I totally loved back in the day, and I definitely want to enjoy again.

His Secrets Can Destroy Her
From the moment Josie laid eyes on sexy, mysterious Shane Dean, she was in love. Their desire ignited a passionate affair, and within weeks, Shane had slipped a ring on her finger.
It seemed her every fantasy was coming true… until her new husband disappeared without a trace.
Now, two years and one broken heart later, Josie is shocked by the hospital calls: Shane has been found… at a crime scene with no memory of how he got there.
Her Love Can Save Him
Shane can’t remember the blue-eyed angel at his bedside—or who he even is—but he knows something isn’t right. His hearing is razor sharp, his physical strength incredible, and the urge to protect Josie overwhelming.
For powerful enemies are hunting him, and Josie is the key to discovering why. As Shane struggles to unravel his past, dangerous new truths come to light.
Can he protect the only woman he’s ever loved? And can Josie trust a man she thought she knew—one who carries such a deadly secret?

6. The Simple Wild (Wild #1) by K.A. Tucker

Calla Fletcher wasn’t even two when her mother took her and fled the Alaskan wild, unable to handle the isolation of the extreme, rural lifestyle, leaving behind Calla’s father, Wren Fletcher, in the process.
Calla never looked back, and at twenty-six, a busy life in Toronto is all she knows. But when Calla learns that Wren’s days may be numbered, she knows that it’s time to make the long trip back to the remote frontier town where she was born.
She braves the roaming wildlife, the odd daylight hours, the exorbitant prices, and even the occasional—dear God—outhouse, all for the chance to connect with her father: a man who, despite his many faults, she can’t help but care for.
While she struggles to adjust to this rugged environment, Jonah—the unkempt, obnoxious, and proud Alaskan pilot who helps keep her father’s charter plane company operational—can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. And he’s clearly waiting with one hand on the throttle to fly this city girl back to where she belongs, convinced that she’s too pampered to handle the wild.
Jonah is probably right, but Calla is determined to prove him wrong. Soon, she finds herself forming an unexpected bond with the burly pilot.
As his undercurrent of disapproval dwindles, it’s replaced by friendship—or perhaps something deeper? But Calla is not in Alaska to stay and Jonah will never leave. It would be foolish of her to kindle a romance, to take the same path her parents tried—and failed at—years ago.
It’s a simple truth that turns out to be not so simple after all.

7. Annihilator (Dark Verse #5) by RuNyx
While this particular book is not exactly set during the fall, it will give you all the cozy vibes you are looking for.
It’s dark, and it makes you feel like it’s gloomy everyday. Definitely perfect for those days when you want to stay at home and do nothing at all.
This book is the fifth in the series, and I would recommend reading it order since the importance of this characters are shown during the course of the Dark Verse books.
If you haven’t started this series, then I 100% recommend it. Definitely one of my all-time favorite mafia romances.

8. Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World #2) by Jeaniene Frost
The vampire books by Jeaniene Frost have been a favorite of mine for many years, and since spooky season is coming soon, I had to put it in this fall reading list.
Eternal Kiss of Darkness, is a spin-off of the Night Huntress series (which I also recommend).
This book is a standalone and you don’t have to read the first book of the Night Huntress World to understand this one.

Chicago private investigator Kira Graceling should have just kept on walking.
But her sense of duty refused to let her ignore the moans of pain coming from inside a warehouse just before dawn. Suddenly she finds herself in a world she’s only imagined in her worst nightmares.
At the center is Mencheres, a breathtaking Master vampire who thought he’d seen it all. Then Kira appears, this fearless, beautiful… human who braved death to rescue him.

10. Dirty Chase by Natasha Tanner, Ali Piedmont
In my opinion, it’s always a good moment for an entertaining and steamy mafia romance. Especially when the main characters are awesome!
Another book I’ll be re-reading this fall.

Chase
I broke all my rules for Elle Sinclair.
Don’t spend more than one night with a woman.
Don’t expose her to my criminal world.
And never, ever let her into my heart.
But Elle is smart and sweet as a Georgia peach—and one taste will never be enough.
I shouldn’t corrupt her with my touch…but I refuse to let her go.
When I f*ck things up, she runs from me. But she should know my name by now.
I’ll chase her to the ends of the earth.
Then my enemies try to use her against me, but I’ll teach those boys a lesson.
I’ll hunt every one of them down, all the way to the gates of Hell.

11. Spiral of Need (The Mercury Pack #1) by Suzanne Wright
A good paranormal romance is a must for your autumn reading list. Especially when the book is about wolf shifters.
I love the adventure, the romance, and the protectiveness the main character shows.
Any Suzanne Wright book will be perfect for this season, in case you have already read this book or this series in particular.

Ally Marshall isn’t just a wolf shifter — she’s a Seer.
But a girl doesn’t exactly need special powers to know that Derren Hudson despises her entire kind.
Disdain practically rolls off the Beta of the Mercury Pack… disdain mixed with a healthy dose of desire. And no matter how much the ruggedly handsome male appeals to her, this is one call of the wild she’s determined to ignore.
After one betrayal too many, Derren doesn’t have much use for Seers — except for Ally.
Forced into acting as her protector, he finds himself intensely and passionately drawn to the woman who incites his primal instinct to claim.
And when enemies target the pack, Ally’s gift may be just what the Mercury Pack needs.
Can he put his distrust aside, or will he force himself to turn his back on the one woman who makes his inner beast howl?
Available in Kindle Unlimited and Audiobook.

12. Officially Over It (SWAT Generation 2.0 #10) by Lani Lynn Vale
This specific series is about a group of SWAT officers that were part of a calendar photoshoot. So each month/book features a couple.
Each book can be read as a standalone, so you don’t need to read this series in order to understand the storyline
This book in particular features mister October, but you can read the preview of the rest of the SWAT Generation 2.0, here.

Going from a professional baseball player to a SWAT officer should’ve been seamless. Should have been.
But it wasn’t.
All it took was one single calendar shoot for word to spread that Nathan Cox was not only no longer playing professional baseball, but he was also the man behind saving the life of Reggie Morton, the City of Kilgore’s princess.
Reggie didn’t know that by agreeing to provide the expertise and the know-how for the Police Officer’s Ball that she would be required to actually attend the function.
What she also didn’t expect was needing to be saved—again—by the same man that had saved her life a year ago when she hosted her debut event.
This time in a not-nearly-as-spectacular way. The moment she falls into his arms like a modern-day Cinderella and takes him in in all his three-piece suited glory, she realizes that she’s been fighting the impossible.
Nathan Cox owns her. Body and soul.
Available in Audiobook.

13. Throne of the Horde King (Horde Kings of Dakkar #6) by Zoey Draven
For some reason I have been obsessed with sci-fi romance books lately. They have captivated my attention, and I simply love how love stories develop in a different world (or planet, in this case).
Zoey Draven is a great author if you want to start reading romance books in this sub-genre. I can’t recommend enough the Horde Kings of Dakkar. The story line is so interesting!
This is the sixth book in this series, and while it would be the best to read them in order to understand the planet and the history behind the Horde Kings; if you are impatient like me and you don’t mind spoilers, then you don’t have to start the series in order.

High in the icy northlands of Dakkar, I’ve lived a sheltered, predictable, and safe life. My days are spent caring for an ancient temple and staying out of the priestesses’ way.
My nights are spent pouring over the great stories of warrior kings and the queens that stole their hearts.
But I have a secret.
I’m a hybrid female. Half-Dakkari, half-human, the first of my kind.
The priestesses have risked everything to keep me hidden from the dangerous hordes that roam the wild lands and the greedy king that sits on the throne in Dothik. I am the secret they could never let free.
Then a horde king—with molten eyes and the body of a battle god—shows up at the temple’s gates, demanding entry.
He’s the one I see in my dreams, all ruthless, merciless strength and a tempting smirk to match. Only, he’s not the gentle male I always imagined. He’s cunning, sensual, cruel…and he thinks that everything has a price. Even me.
With a growing danger in the east and a precarious throne in the west, he steals me away from the sacred temple with daring plans all his own.
He thinks I’m a naive temple girl, who will bend easily to his demands. Instead, I fight him at every turn, showing him claws of my own.
Instead of fear, lust begins to rise between us—hot, addicting, and forbidden. His teasing touch makes me tremble. His stolen kisses make me weak.
But the horde king of Rath Serok is as mysterious as he is devilish.
And he has his own secret…one that will forever change the future of Dakkar.
All the books are available in Kindle Unlimited.

14. Beneath These Shadows (Beneath #6) by Meghan March
Another great mafia romance recommendation that is perfect for a fall day!
Even though this book is the sixth in the Beneath series, this one in particular can be read as a standalone. You don’t need the rest of the books to understand this story.

The only permanent thing in my life is the ink I put on my clients. I drift from city to city, in and out of beds, from one tattoo shop to the next.
Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up. Until New Orleans. Until her.
She’s everything I’m not. Full of fire and life. An innocent where I’m a sinner.
I want to consume her. Protect her. Keep her. But first, I have to escape from beneath these shadows.

15. The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice (Moonbright, Maine #2) by Donna Kauffman, Kate Angell, Allyson Charles

Every autumn, Moonbright, Maine, is the picture of charm with its piles of crisp leaves, flickering jack-o’-lanterns… and a touch of the sweetest kind of enchantment.
Witches, goblins, the occasional ghost—they’re all sure to be spotted at the annual Halloween parade, where adults and children alike dress in costume to celebrate Moonbright’s favorite holiday.
And no place has more seasonal spirit than Bellaluna’s Bakeshop, a family business steeped in traditional recipes, welcoming warmth—and, legend has it, truly spellbinding, heart-melting treats…
Between good-natured Halloween tricks, frothy pumpkin lattes, and some very special baked goods, for three Moonbright residents looking for love—whether they know it or not—the spookiest thing will be how magical romance can suddenly be…
