One Day In Wilmington, NC: Travel Guide

While I was staying with my boyfriend in Myrtle Beach, he decided it would be a good idea to go to Wilmington, NC for the day. I agreed happily for two reasons.

First, I recently watched all seasons of One Tree Hill, and seriously, I was obsessed. Going there and see with my own eyes where the show was filmed had me very excited.

And secondly, one day in Wilmington would mean eating lunch at the Front Street Brewery. Their pulled chicken nachos are from another planet. So good!

This travel guide will tell you the best place to eat lunch and some of the most iconic places from the show One Tree Hill.

Where To Go In Wilmington, NC

Front Street Brewery

This was the second time I went to that restaurant, and they didn’t disappoint me. Again, their pulled chicken nachos were delicious. I was so happy about it!

If you are there or in a surrounding area, you definitely have to go there. Especially if you love nachos! And beer, because after all, it’s a brewery.

All you need is one day in Wilmington to enjoy this!

Front Street Brewery is located in: 9 N Front St, Wilmington, NC.

Pulled Chicken Nachos. The best!

The Riverwalk In Wilmington, NC

It’s a great place for a romantic walk and it has a beautiful view. It also has many restaurants and some stores. It’s a good place to take photos as well.

It was a little too hot for my liking, but at least it wasn’t very crowded.

The riverwalk starts in at the end of Market St. with Water St.

Market St And Surrounding Areas

In general, the most important things in a city are located in downtown, and in Wilmington is not different.

The main streets you want to make sure to visit are: Market Street and Front Street. In those two streets you will be able to find the most adorable shops.

Free Downtown Trolley

One recommendation: use the free trolley! It’s a great way to go all over downtown Wilmington.

After walking for hours, my boyfriend and I were really tired, and walking to the parking lot was the last thing I wanted to do.

This free trolley is great! It goes around downtown and you have a great view of the places arounds.

Here is the link to the route. It can be a little tricky to find the stops, especially because they don’t appear in Google Maps, but you can always ask.

Visit One Tree Hill Locations

“I don’t want to be anything other than what I’ve been trying to be lately. All I have to do is think of me and I have peace of mind…”

I felt so sad after watching the last episode of One Tree Hill. Watching the last episode of a show leaves me very depressed. Like I don’t know what to do with my life now. Does that happens to you too?

Anyway, to start the One Tree Hill tour I read this and this article beforehand.

One has 21 places you should visit. It is very specific, with addresses and everything.

It also tells you where you can get merch from the show. I totally went crazy when I saw Nathan Scott t-shirts. He was my favorite!

The other one has what was missing from the first article: Karen’s Cafe.

If you have time, you can make it through the whole list! A great way to spend one day in Wilmington when you are a One Tree Hill fan.
