10 Scary TV Shows To Binge-Watch This Halloween Season. Horror Shows on Netflix. Scary Shows To Watch On Halloween. Halloween Horror TV Shows. Scary TV Shows To Stream. Elephant on the Road.

Now, this list is full of real scary/horror TV shows. So you won’t find a show like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, while that show is dark, it’s not really scary.

These shows will definitely make your heart beat faster, especially if you watch them at night.

While I love watching scary movies, TV shows, videos, etc. I can’t do that alone. I have no problems sleeping afterwards, but I need someone next to me to feel safer.

Even though most of these scary TV shows are available on Netflix, you can also find some that are available on HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and AppleTV+.

In general, most of these shows are in the paranormal side rather than the psychological thriller. Which are also a good option for Halloween when you aren’t into demoniac possession or ghosts.

If you are looking exclusively for psychological thriller TV Shows; then Sharp Objects, Marianne, Chambers, and Servant, are something you are going to enjoy more.

If scary TV shows aren’t your thing and you prefer scary movies, then you want to check out this post with 44 movies to enjoy during Halloween.

1. The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

What is this show about? A fractured family goes back to their old home that brought so much pain to them and where they experienced traumatizing and terrifying events that is still fresh for them.

Bonus: Season 2 (The Haunting of Bly Manor)

The premiere of season 2 of The Haunting of Hill House is on October 9th! So add it to your calendar to watch it.

The first season was great. It was scary and entertaining. I was surprised with each episode so I’m expecting a lot from season 2!

2. Sharp Objects (2018)

WATCH ON: HBO & AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

To stream this show you are going to need an Amazon Prime Video account, HBO or HBO Max account.

Amy Adams is the main character and I know this show is good because of her!

Also, the show is based on the book by bestselling author Gillian Flynn (same author that write Gone Girl).

So what is this show about?

This eight-episode series tells the story of reporter who returns to her small hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.

3. Marianne (2019)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

This is a French show, which in my opinion makes it more interesting and scary.

This scary TV show is about an author that writes horror novels (like Stephen King!) that decides to take a break from writing. During her break, the demon that stars in her books, Marianne, appears. Forcing her to keep writing.

4. Ju-On: Origins (2020)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

Another TV show from a different country! This time, coming directly from Japan.

If you like horror movies you know that the Japanese know what they are doing (have you watched the original version of The Ring?).

This show is based on the movies about this character, and it will explain the “the real” events behind all the movies. So you don’t have to watch the movie to understand the story, since is the “origins” of Ju-On.

Each episode tells you different stories that are connected and that happen throughout a period of time.

5. Ghoul (2018)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

Another international show! (and honestly I’m loving it!). This time the story is set in India.

This scary TV show has more action that the others, but that doesn’t mean it’s less scary or intriguing. It’s also from the creators of Insidious and Get Out.

Ghoul is about a soldier that has to interrogate a prisoner, but it’s her and her fellow soldiers the ones that will end up being forced to free their own demons (literally).

6. Slasher (2016)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

So we can agree that creepy phone calls are always scary. So we have that box checked.

This show is very similar to ‘Scream’, in the sense that there’s a serial killer in the neighborhood that is probably going to get you.

This is a very graphic TV show; so if you don’t like to see tons of blood, then this is not for you.

7. The Exorcist (2016)

WATCH ON: AMAZON PRIME VIDEO & HULU

To be honest, I still can’t watch the original movie from 1973. I have just watched clips from it and the parody version in Scary Movie 2.

This show is not the same as the movie, so if you watch the movie you will be very pleased since is not a remake.

Follows three priests dealing with cases of a demonic presence targeting a family and a foster home.

It has two seasons (20 episodes in total) so definitely perfect to binge-watch during the whole month!

8. Haunted (2018)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

In this show you will see the stories of different people that talk about their paranormal experiences.

Many of the stories featured in the series resemble popular horror films released prior to the alleged date on which the events occurred. Which sounds super intriguing!

It has two seasons, and in total it has 12 episodes.

9. Chambers (2019)

WATCH ON: NETFLIX

The show is about a girl (Uma Thurman) that had a heart transplant after an unexpected heart attack. After the transplant she starts to feel and see things as she were the donor.

The disturbing part comes when she starts establishing a relationship with the family of the donor.

10. Servant (2019)

WATCH ON: APPLE TV+

The trailer of this TV show is a little confusing, but it’s clear that is very creepy. Especially after seeing the face of the baby doll!

Servant follows the story of a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.
