1. Rabb.it
Available for Android and iOS
Are you looking for more options to do something different with your long-distance boyfriend or girlfriend? Then Rabb.it is going to help you with that! It takes your video chat dates to the next level.
The other day I was trying to watch a movie with my boyfriend. It was a little complicated trying to use different devices and apps. With Rabb.it there’s no more fumbling back and forth between Skype and Netflix.
This app lets you watch movies and shows and respond in-the-moment. No matter where your significant other is. You just need a WiFi connection. It makes for a perfect date night for long distance couples, and it definitely helps make the distance a bit more bearable.

Lovedays is a countdown app, but it does so much more than just show you how many days are left until your next date or anniversary. The app features: D-Day Counter, that manages and remembers important anniversaries for you and your partner. it has a widget, that checks your D-Day easily in a beautiful way. Just like it shows in the picture! The Couple Profile, where you can put pictures and names of you and your partner to the main screen; and finally the D-Day Calculator, that helps you to calculate important events with D-Day Calculator. For example, the next visit.
I think it’s amazing that the app allows you to change your phone’s lock screen or background to a photo with how many days are left in your countdown. Also, the countdowns and pictures are actually really aesthetically-appealing and it lets you customize with the font size, colors and other details. That is something I really like! I always try to avoid ugly apps.
3. Idealationship for Couples
Available just for iOS
I love the idea of the app, Idealationship for Couples, because it helps you build a better relationship. We know that sometimes it can be hard to do that when the distance is in between (and different time zones). Not being able to see your significant other whenever you want is a real struggle.
This app was designed to help people figure out what they want from their relationship and how to get it. The features remind and teach people how to prioritize their partner, prompt conversations that would be difficult to broach, and give couples opportunities to strengthen their bond. I mean, how cool is that? Sometimes we get absorbed with the other aspects of our lives that we lose sight of our priorities and we forget to pay attention and invest more time in our relationship.

4. Nujj
Stay in touch with your partner like there is no distance between the two of you! How does that sound? Whatever makes me closer to my boyfriend I will give it the opportunity. Nujj is an app that lets you send your partner ‘nudges’ by shaking your phone. It’s super simple! Shake your phone and your partner’s phone will vibrate. Nujj is the ultimate way to tell your partner you’re thinking of them!
This app also has other features. You can send messages with photos and audios, keep track of special dates, set reminders, send your location, and you can add a timeline. I have to admit that one of my favorite features of Nujj are the ‘reminders’. This means that no matter from where, you will be able to add a task your significant other needs to do.

Between is an app that allows for completely private communication between you and your love. No need to worry about friends reading your personal messages… everything is encrypted and password protected. You can use the chat feature to send messages you don’t want to be saved on your phone, or you can build a secret photo album of your relationship.
You can download it for free and use most of the features, but it also offers Between Plus. If you upgrade, you and your partner can get access to colorful themes, love letters, longer videos/voice messages, and an ad-free experience. To be honest, I don’t think it’s worth it.
6. Happy Couple
Happy Couple is a quiz style app for couples where you can have fun and find out more about what your partner thinks or feels. Personally, I love quizzes that help me to get to know my boyfriend better. Sometimes we don’t think about certain questions that are important or that can lead to an important conversation.
The daily quiz features 10 new questions each day—a perfect amount for some relationship-focused time, without being too time-consuming. This app acts as a springboard for starting a relationship-building dialogue about feelings, values, and aspirations. It’s amazing!
7. LokLok
Available just for Android
I think that the idea of this app is lovely. So upset is not available for iOS too. LokLok replaces your Android lock screen with a shared whiteboard that is always in sync between you and your significant other. Leave notes, drawings, and photos for them to see when they check their phones. How adorable is that?

8. Rave
Rave is similar to Rabb.it. It lets you binge Netflix, watch videos on Youtube, listen to music; enjoy Vimeo, Viki, Reddit, and more while you send messages back and forth in real time with your significant other.
You can also upload your videos to Dropbox and Google Drive for global movie nights and create your own mashups by mixing music with RaveDJ. That sounds so cool! You can create a special song for your boyfriend or girlfriend!
9. iPassion
Passion is an average trivia game with a twist—all questions are dirty and intimate. Questions, which are multiple choice, include sexual preferences, likes and dislikes, turn-ons, and more. This is great as foreplay for a sexy video chat date.
It’s hard to get intimate in a long distance relationship. So this is a great option to try! It helps to discover what your partner likes, dislikes and how to rub him/her the right way with custom quizzes.
It’s very easy to start! First, you answer two questions about your own preferences, likes, dislikes etc.; then, your partner has to guess your answers and see if he or she was right.
10. MyLove
This is a very simple and fun app that lets you know how long you and your significant other have been in a relationship. It counts in seconds, minutes, days, weeks, and months, offering a unique perspective. When the distance seems tough, it’s nice to be able to open up an app and remind yourself that you’ve already conquered 150 days of distance.
My Love can be customized with a picture of you and your partner, and you can also enable push notifications so you won’t miss out on special dates.
11. Gyft
Available just for iOS

A text message or a Skype date never gets old, but sometimes it’s nice to find different ways to show your significant other you’re thinking of them. Gyft allows you to send gift cards to a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and internet sites, from Starbucks to iTunes. Is your boyfriend having a tough day? Send him a $10 Chipotle gift card so he can enjoy his favorite burrito bowl. The app is super easy to use, and it’s a great way to show you care!
