Hello, lovelies! We are almost in the middle of October! I’m so excited about the things that are happening soon, like my birthday (October 15) and Halloween. This is for sure my favorite month!
Since this year Halloween lands on a Wednesday, the thought of going out is not as attractive if you have to work the next day. Or maybe partying is not your thing, so a Halloween night in is the perfect option for you!Since this year Halloween lands on a Wednesday… staying home watching scary movies and eating your favorite snacks is an amazing way to spend the night! I love dressing up, but I don’t know if this year I’ll be able to do it. Either way, staying home watching scary movies and eating my favorite snacks is an amazing way to spend the night.
Do you ever wonder why we celebrate Halloween? When I was little, I just wanted to dress up in a good Halloween costume and eat free candy.
So when trick-or-treating stopped being a thing for me, I started to get more curious about the story behind the celebration. Especially because is not that popular in my country (Chile).
As a matter of fact, we started to celebrate Halloween in the 80s. Which is crazy!
For us, November 1st has more importance. “El Día de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) is what people like to celebrate. That day we go to the cemetery and spend the day with those who aren’t with us anymore.
Either way, I love Halloween because it’s the perfect day to do the things you wouldn’t normally do, such as wearing a costume. That’s so much fun!
Also spending the night watching scary movies and eating the best snacks. A Halloween night in is always a great way to celebrate too!
Halloween Night In Essentials
Thanks to The Popcorn Factory, I was able to try their popcorn, and OMG, it was so good! My personal favorite: Zombie Kettle Corn.
The Batty Treat Box is adorable and would put you immediately in a Halloween mood. It’s also the perfect gift for your friends. Especially for the ones with a sweet tooth.
Snacks are very important for any Halloween night in. Popcorn being the #1 to watch all the movies!
We can’t forget about the candy and other salty snacks. We need the options.Snacks are very important for any Halloween night in. The @popcornfactory has the best ones. I loved their Zombie Kettle Corn! Click To Tweet
On the other hand, we have the Day Of The Dead Grand Sampler. To be honest, I was expecting it to be bigger (at least the picture on the website makes you believe that.)
We shared it between my boyfriend, his brother, and I. I was expecting more popcorn, but it was a great way to try the different flavors.
The chocolate balls were amazing, as well as the pretzels. I have to add that, the cookie is so big, you can totally share it!
I already said that the snacks were super important, but you need a little decor to put yourself in the mood.
I went to Target and spent $3 between the fake spider web, the spooky socks, and the bats.
As you can see… you don’t need much to decorate your room and make it special for your Halloween night in.You don't need much to decorate your room and make it special for your Halloween night in. I spend just $3 at Target. Click To Tweet
Ultimate Halloween Movie List
I love scary movies! Halloween is the perfect day to spend hours watching them.
As a general rule, I don’t watch them alone or if the main character is a clown (It is a no-no for me).
That’s why I spent some time making a list with all the good scary movies I have watched + adding a few more that looked good.
If you are struggling to find worthy scary movies for your Halloween night in, then you should definitely check this list out!
Also, I need to add that I didn’t add super old ones like The Exorcist. So you won’t find movies from before the 2000s here.Looking for good Halloween movies? I made a list for you with the best scary movies! Click To Tweet
You can save the photo below to your camera roll and add check mark on the ones you already watched!
How do you prefer to spend your Halloween? Going out or stay at home watching movies? Let me know in the comments!
