Hey there, lovelies! Now that Halloween is around the corner, I thought it would be a great moment to give you some spooky and cute Halloween nail design ideas you can try at home.
I don’t know about you, but there’s something I love about making my own nails. It’s relaxing, and it’s a way to express myself creatively (and honestly, I don’t care if my right hand doesn’t look as good as my left hand haha).

In this post; I won’t only be showing you some Halloween nail inspo, I will also give you some nail polish recommendations, and other different tools you might need to recreate any nail design at home.
To make it easier, I also put first the Halloween nail designs that I think are less difficult to try at home. Meaning that you don’t need any artistic abilities to successfully recreate them by yourself.
1. Halloween Colors Simple Design
This Halloween nail art design is super simple, but very cool at the same time. Definitely beginner friendly.
You can also decide to keep the shiny finish, or make it matte. In my opinion, a matte version would look even better. For that, you will only need this OPI Matte Top Coat. I have used it before, and it really works!
You can also try this option that is cheaper.
2. Spooky Googly Eyes
This is such an adorable nail design for Halloween. The best part? It’s also super easy to recreate. You will only need the help of a dotting pen. You can get this kit with different sizes.
Or you can get this set of brushes that also include a dotting pen (it just doesn’t include different sizes of that tool).
3. Dark Night
This is a super easy Halloween Nail Design to recreate. Why? Because you don’t have to draw the stars and moon by hand. You just need to get stickers! Get the same ones here.
You can decide to make it matte or glossy. I think both options would look great.
4. Scarecrow Nails
This one can get a little tricky if you don’t have a steady hand. You can definitely help yourself with some tape or stickers that will make drawing the lines a little easier (especially if you don’t have a thin brush).
I also found this french manicure nail stickers guide set, that will make easier to paint the orange part. I have used these guides before, and they are super helpful. It makes the situation stress-free.
For the orange tip, you can use Essie Tangerine Tease.
5. Matte Ghosts
Start with a drop of white on the top (for the head), then add three little dots at the bottom. Connect the lines and you are ready!
6. Orange Halloween Nails
7. Alien Nail Art Design
If you want something different from the typical ghosts and orange colors, then this Halloween nail art idea is perfect for you.
8. Frankenstein Nail Art
9. Nude Spider Webs
Drawing a spider web on your nail can be tricky, but since it’s in just on one nail I thinks pretty doable.
Just make your to have a brush that will let you draw the lines. It also looks that the nails with the spider web design are matte, so you can add this OPI Matte Top Coat for that.
10. Beetlejuice Inspired Nails
I love the colors of these Beetlejuice inspired nails. Super fun and different from the usual colors for Halloween and autumn.
11. Ghostly French Manicures
This is one of my favorite Halloween nail designs. It’s simple, spooky, and chic at the same time. Even though the shape of the little ghosts might be tricky, it’s definitely something you can recreate at home.
Also, you don’t have to do them on every nail. Choose one or two nails and you can paint the rest white.
12. Spirited Away Inspired Nails
This Halloween nail inspo is special for those who watched the Spirited Away movie, and if you haven’t then I really recommend it! I considered it a good one for Halloween.
Just make sure to have a brush and a dotting pen to draw those little guys.
13. Black Cat Season
Even though this is not a very easy Halloween nail design (because it has more details), I still believe it’s simple enough to try at home.
Again, it is special to have a brush that cal help you to draw the face of the cat and the tail.
