Now that Fall has officially started, I thought it would be a great time to create a list with spooky romance books you can read this Halloween season.
Paranormal romance books are super fun to read during the fall. I enjoy a lot all the different worlds and creatures you can find in different books.
So get your favorite blanket, a cup of tea (or hot chocolate!) and start reading any this books.
You can also find more romance books recommendations on my Goodsreads account.

All the books in this list are part of the paranormal romance genre, so expect a lot of supernatural creatures. Some of them are vampires, demons, werewolves, aliens, and others (which you will have to discover once you start the book).
I’ve been obsessed with sci-fi romance books lately, so if that’s something you would like to read more. I have more options on my goodreads account.
Also, most of the romance books you will find here are human meets supernatural creature. I just love when different worlds collide.
Spooky Romance Books To Read This Halloween
Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father – the one responsible for ruining her mother’s life. Then she’s captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership.
In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs.
She’s amazed she doesn’t end up as his dinner – are there actually good vampires?
Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn’t have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers.
Now Cat will have to choose a side … and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.
This is my all-time favorite vampire series.
Once you start with this book you won’t be able to stop reading the rest. Cat and Bones are an amazing couple and they complete each other.
There are also many spin-offs set in this same world, so you get to read about other characters. You can take a look at the whole world here. You can also find the reading order if you want to get a better experience.

On the unforgiving planet of Dakkar, I did what all the humans in our village did: kept my head down, worked to provide for my family, and I certainly didn’t break any Dakkari laws to risk inciting the alien race’s merciless wrath.
Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for my brother and one careless mistake brings a horde of the nomadic, barbarian Dakkari straight to our doorstep, led by their powerful horde king—a cold, ruthless, battle-scarred warrior demanding retribution.
In order to save my brother’s life, I do the unthinkable.
I sell myself to the horde king as his war prize. I agree to warm his furs, to travel with his horde across the wild lands of Dakkar, and to never see my family again.
But as I struggle with my new reality, I discover that the surly, mysterious, dominant horde king never intended for me to be his concubine…
He wants me as his queen.
I truly enjoyed this book. It was the first book set on a different planet that I really liked. Sometimes is hard to find books with good stories that will keep you glue at the book for hours.
This series already has four books, and even though I liked the other, this is 100% my favorite one.
This book is available on Kindle Unlimited and Audiobook.

Veral’monushava’skahalur is an oddity among his species, a lone Argurma cyborg divorced from his own kind by choice and to escape termination as a malfunctioning unit. Wandering the fringes of space as a salvager, he comes across a planet beyond the boundaries of the federation, rich in metals remnant of a dead civilization. Or so he thought.
Confronted by cannibalistic mutations of the indigenous species, his salvage has suddenly become a lot more complicated. Even more so when he encounters a female surviving on her own. She is strong and fearless, begrudgingly earning his admiration. Terri is hardened by a life of hunger and watchfulness, and yet is moved by a compassion that he’s never possessed. When his admiration turns into the first signs of a forming mate-bond, he knows his fate is sealed. Unlicensed mating is forbidden—if his malfunctioning wasn’t already a death sentencing, taking her for her mate would be. Yet, he finds that letting her go is no longer an option.
This book is set on a post-apocalyptic world, where are you do is survive. That was super interesting! The author did a great job describing it all.
SJ Sanders has other paranormal romance books, you can check out here.
This book is available on Kindle Unlimited and Audiobook.

Time-traveling isn’t what Abigail Cross had in mind for her Scottish vacation, nor was a potential marriage to the Laird Aedan Macleod. The fact that the obnoxious, yet hot, and definitely sexy Highlander sees the world very differently than she does, is beside the point.
Aedan Macleod knows what he wants in a wife, and Abigail certainly doesn’t meet his Highland standard, even though he must rein in his desire, because beautiful, opinionated Abigail would never suit as a laird’s wife.
Tempers flare yet passion is undeniable, as Abby navigates her way in seventeenth century Scotland—without toilet paper. When two rival clans threaten the maddening twenty-first century minx who’s captured Laird Aedan’s heart, the mighty Highlander is willing to sacrifice everything to keep Abigail safe.
For some reason, books about time-traveling are one of my favorite stories. Especially when the main character gets to go to the past.
If you are into Highlanders, then you are going to love this book! Also, if you have some book recommendation that are similar to this one, let me know!
Available on Kindle Unlimited.

This is was one of the first paranormal romance series I read with no vampires or werewolves involved. It was such an interesting new world!
My favorite book in this series is Living Nightmare (Sentinel Wars #4), I just love the story between Nika and Madoc.

Always a dutiful son, Brishen agrees to the marriage and discovers his bride is as ugly as he expected and more beautiful than he could have imagined.
The noblewoman of no importance

A Deadly Decision
As King of the Realm, Dage Kayrs has learned to practice diplomacy. Still, it’s taken three hundred years to find his mate, so he’ll stop at nothing to protect her—even if it means turning his back on his own kind…
I had no family, no friends. I was utterly alone and always had been. And once I aged out of the system that had raised me, I decided to find out exactly who I was.
Where did I come from? Who were my parents? What made me… me?
It became the fire in my veins.
And my journey led me to Scotland, the Highlands, and for the first time in my life, I had this feeling of… belonging.
What should have been a simple hike through the Scottish countryside led me to discover that there were things far more mysterious than trying to find out who I was.
There were other things—creatures—lurking in this world, ones who were stronger, fiercer… ones who were not human.
Everything I’d ever known seemed like a fable now.
And it was one of those otherworldly creatures who stalked me—chased me.
And I knew I couldn’t outrun him. I couldn’t escape.
He’s bigger than any man I’d ever seen, stronger than anyone should be. His growls were feral, his fangs animalistic, and when he watched me it was with glowing eyes.
I found myself at his mercy, chained to a bed, and alone with this man who isn’t really a man at all. I asked him why I was there, why he took me, held me against my will.
And all he said was… I was his mate.
Mav disappeared before I could ever tell him about the child I carried. I’ve had years to get over him, and I’ve tried. But the second I see him again my heart lurches, and it’s like all that time evaporates. I still burn for him, even though I know it’s a bad idea.
I try to remind myself about the bad things:
his quick temper, but… he’s different now.
And hiding something. Something bigger than the child we share.
Allowing him back into my heart could crush me, but I’ve never felt safer than when I’m in his arms.
Can I really have the man I love for good?
Or will our past mistakes keep us from a happy future?

Talisa may be the daughter of the Eternal Guardians’ leader, but Zagreus is convinced she’s the missing half of his tattered soul. He doesn’t care that she doesn’t remember him. He’ll never let her deny that wicked-hot connection still sizzling between them.
